Texas Hill Country Resort
Our beautifully landscaped grounds, with their classic swimming pool, fish pond, and gently running fountain will make your stay a delight.
Built in 1869 as the Meyer family home, The Old Homestead is now the Innkeepers Residence.
The Stage Stop was the original building in the Meyer Complex. It dates from 1857 when it was a welcome haven for travelers, offering shelter closest to the Guadalupe River crossing on the fabled Old Spanish Trail, what is now High Street, the main thoroughfare in historic Comfort.
Our location on this beautiful stretch of Cypress Creek, only a few hundred yards upstream from the Guadalupe River, is perfect for fishing, canoeing, or just enjoying the view.
Our beautiful 27-acre nature area has recently been opened for our guest's use. This secluded spot has groves of pecan trees, fields of wildflowers, abundant deer and wildlife for nature lovers to enjoy. Come enjoy an unforgettable walk among the huge mature native cypress and pecan trees overhanging scenic Cypress Creek.
Built to move the heat of hotel cooking outdoors in the era before air conditioning, the summer kitchen today is a great place for a social gathering, a game room, or for just relaxing above the creek side.
With a classic, oversize swimming pool, and spacious grounds on scenic, tree-lined, Cypress Creek perfect for fishing, canoeing and picnicking, the Meyer Bed & Breakfast is an ideal setting for enjoying the Texas Hill Country's superb climate and unique natural beauty.
